Catering guides based on our current menus, delivery policies and documented events.
Planning an office Christmas lunch or year-end gathering? Start with how your team will eat, then choose the menu and confirm the quantities. La Rio’s Christmas and holiday catering menu brings together appetizers, a build-your-own taco-and-bowl buffet and churros.
Menu preview: Holiday Fiesta is proposed at $26 CAD per person and Premium Holiday Feast at $31 CAD per person. Delivery and 13% HST are additional. Prices, seasonal items, package inclusions, portions and availability require written confirmation.
Which menu works for your holiday event?
| Event | Suggested approach | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Office holiday lunch | Holiday Fiesta taco-and-bowl buffet | A shared serving window, buffet space and dietary counts |
| Client or team dinner | Premium Holiday Feast | Your premium protein, appetizer quantities and equipment needs |
| Shift-based employee appreciation | Individually packaged meals | Meal labels, delivery windows and separate pricing |
For year-round alternatives, compare the full catering menu and office party catering options. Regular-menu prices are separate from the holiday proposal.
What is in the proposed Holiday Fiesta?
The organizer chooses two appetizers and two proteins. Standard proteins are Chicken Asado, seasoned ground beef, grilled tilapia and grilled tofu skewers. Tilapia contains fish. Appetizer choices are chicken or beef empanadas, crispy corn nuggets, cheese-and-bean dip with chips, and avocado salsa with chips.
The buffet includes Mexican vegetable rice, black beans, corn tortillas, cheese, chips and salsa. Guests add lettuce, corn, onion, green pepper, pico de gallo, cilantro, jalapeños and lime. Salsa verde, chipotle sauce, burrito sauce and proposed holiday cranberry salsa round out the selection. Churros with chocolate dip provide the included dessert. You can request Pumpkin Latte Cream Cake or Caramel Pecan Brownie instead; alternative availability and any price adjustment are confirmed in the quote. The brownie contains pecans (tree nuts). Choose your dessert in the holiday menu selector. Disposable plates, cutlery and napkins are included in the proposed price.
Premium Holiday Feast replaces one standard protein with barbacoa or Baja shrimp and adds Mexican street-corn cups. Compare the appetizers and protein choices before requesting your quote.
How much could catering for 30, 50 or 100 people cost?
These are food-only planning examples based on the proposed prices, before delivery and HST.
| Guests | Fiesta at proposed $26/person | Premium at proposed $31/person |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | $780 | $930 |
| 50 | $1,300 | $1,550 |
| 100 | $2,600 | $3,100 |
For a 50-person Fiesta, start with $1,300 in food, add the confirmed delivery fee and any extra services, then calculate HST on the taxable subtotal. The regular-menu cost calculator can help compare alternative formats; it does not price this proposed holiday package.
How much food should you plan per person?
Confirm the number of tortillas, appetizer pieces and dessert portions, as well as the total cooked protein allocation. Two protein choices split that allocation rather than providing two full servings of meat per person. Exact holiday portions are not yet published; request them in the written quote.
Count separately packaged dietary meals within your total guest count unless you are deliberately ordering extras. Our catering portion planning guide explains how to organize headcounts and protein allocations. Its regular-package tortilla counts should not be assumed to apply to this holiday menu.
Plan for mixed dietary needs
Collect vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and dairy-free quantities, plus allergy and preparation requirements. Cheese, creamy sauces, pastries and dessert need their own ingredient review; a suitable protein does not make every item in the buffet suitable for that diet. Request separately packaged meals where needed and review the dietary and allergy guide.
